Daniela Kent, R.Y.T.
Daniela Kent first began her yoga practice in Napa and continued to practice throughout her time at UCSD. She finds yoga to be a beautiful practice of love and awareness that unites body, mind, and spirit. Yoga has provided her with strength, flexibility, and endurance in all three of the afore mentioned areas and she truly is passionate about sharing the healing and enlightening practice of yoga with all who wish to learn about yoga!
Insecure Attachment
When the attachment bond with a caregiver does not occur in infancy with sufficient regularity and the child experiences repeated failed emotional communication. The child may then adapt by avoiding closeness and emotional connection, develop a sense of anxiety and feelings of insecurity, and difficulties in the regulations of emotions and social communication. Secure Attachment
A bond of trust beginning in infancy when a caretaker attunes him/herself to the needs of the infant: when the child cries, the adult communicates concern, when the child smiles, the adult responds in a way that fulfills the child’s desire for joyful play. Through this the infant learns to attain balance in is body, emotions, and states of mind, as well as creates a sense of safety within the infant and inspires connection with others. Internal Locus of Control
believing that your life is a result of your own doing; taking responsibility for the outcomes of your life, with the sense that you have the power to make successful change. Distorted Thinking

Defense Mechanisms
Protect us from being consciously aware of a thought or feeling which we cannot tolerate. The defense only allows the unconscious thought or feeling to be expressed indirectly in a disguised and dysfunctional form.
